• Learning analytics, insights, and streak tracking
• Chat history storage and 24-hour expiring share functionality
• Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline capabilities

• Subscription-based premium features with Stripe payment processing
• Integration with Google OAuth for authentication
• Future Notion workspace integration (OAuth-based)

User Accounts and Authentication

To access certain features, you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use our service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Quaest to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Subscription and Payment Terms

Quaest offers both free and premium subscription tiers with usage-based rate limiting:

Free Tier (Anonymous Users)

• 20 AI queries per 24-hour period
• Basic chat functionality with Google Gemini
• No chat history storage or learning pathways
• Limited access to advanced features

Free Tier (Authenticated Users)

• 20 AI queries per 24-hour period
• Chat history storage and learning pathway creation
• Access to analytics and streak tracking
• File upload and document analysis

Pro Subscription

• 100 AI queries per 24-hour period
• Priority processing and advanced AI features
• Advanced learning pathways with unlimited creation
• Enhanced data visualization and content generation features
• Priority customer support
• Access to premium widgets and integrations
• Data export capabilities (planned feature - not yet available)

Rate Limiting and Fair Use

• Usage limits reset every 24 hours from first use
• Suspicious activity or abuse may result in temporary restrictions
• Rate limits may be adjusted to ensure fair access for all users
• Premium subscribers receive higher priority and limits

Billing and Cancellation

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• Subscription extensions may be available for existing subscribers
• Refunds are provided according to our refund policy
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice

• Mind maps for concept relationships (maximum 19 nodes, 4 levels)
• Structured learning pathways with progress tracking

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to Quaest. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to use your content to provide and improve our service, including:

• Processing your messages and uploaded files with Google Gemini AI models
• Storing your content for chat history, learning pathways, and progress tracking
• Analyzing usage patterns and generating learning insights
• Providing web search and URL content analysis through Google's tools
• Generating personalized learning recommendations based on your interactions

File Uploads and Processing

When you upload files to Quaest:

• Files are processed by Google's AI models for analysis and chat responses
• We implement file size optimization and secure storage practices
• Uploaded content is included in your chat history and may be referenced in future conversations
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to upload and share any files

AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI models (powered by Google Gemini) is provided as-is. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing and verifying AI-generated information for accuracy
• Understanding that AI responses may contain errors or biases
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Not presenting AI content as your original work without proper disclosure
• Recognizing that learning pathways and suggestions are AI-generated recommendations

Our Intellectual Property

Quaest and its technology, algorithms, user interface, and design are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or reverse engineer our platform without explicit permission.

Data Analytics and Tracking

Quaest collects and analyzes user data to provide personalized learning experiences:

• Learning pathway progress and completion rates
• Daily engagement streaks and usage statistics

• Automatic synchronization when internet connection is restored
• PWA data storage is subject to device storage policies and user control

Chat Sharing and Expiration

Conversation sharing features include:

• Authenticated users can create public share links for conversations
• Shared conversations are accessible to anyone with the link
• All shared conversations automatically expire and are deleted after 24 hours
• No personal account information is included in shared conversations
• Expired shares are automatically cleaned up from our systems

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUAEST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms.
